Nikolas Špalek and Tomáš Vestenický played in both international friendlies for u-21 Team Slovakia.
"I am grateful for the opportunity that I got from manager Hapal," says one of the youngest members of the Slovak squad. Nikolas Špalek got in both international friendlies the same portion - 45 minutes. On Tuesday´s game against Serbia he started in first eleven.
"I felt really good on the field. First half in Czech republic was bad, we conceded four goals. We were maybe five players who came in after interval in order to do something with the result, but we managed to score only one goal. The next friendly against Serbia was much better. They are very good team and our tight victory is valuable result," added Špalek.
Tomáš Vestenický got ten minutes in both games, enough for him to show good finishing. His late shot against Serbia was denied only by goal construction. "The shot was hard enough and had a good ride, but hit the bar," says Vestenický.
